PT. Polymindo Permata understands that synthetic material industry can have a profound social and ecological impact. We always had a vision for the company that went beyond establishing a business.

Material Source

Viro understands chemical sensitivity, energy efficiency, and the environmental impact of our product, so there is no hazardous compound added. It is non-toxic, maintenance free, 100% recyclable, food grade contact, and long durability.

The fibers are made of HDPE instead of PVC. This choice is significant because there is caustic problem associated with PVC at the end of the product lifecycle even though it is less expensive. When PVC is burned, it will break down to toxic chemicals such as dioxin and hydrochloric acid. The by-product of HDPE on the other hand is similar to what is produced by burning candle, CO2 and H2O.

Product for Longevity

The material we produced for creating diverse of Viro’s products is new developed one, High Density Polyethylene.  The finish products have long durability to use by generations, approximately 20 years of usage capability. Some products are free maintenance, while others are washable and easy maintenance as well. We create additional treatment and formulation to brace the longevity depends on each product function. Experiencing several international standard tests for improvement makes us confident about our products that hardly become waste.

By extending the average life of our HDPE products, PT. Polymindo Permata aims to lead real reduction of carbon and waste footprint and cut maintenance costs significantly.

Recyclable the Waste

All of products we manufactured are made by non-toxic main material and 100% recyclable. In the process stage, all wastes can be re-invented into two forms. First, waste materials can be crushed into small fragment so they can be more easily to re-use by mixing it with other raw material). Alternative way, waste materials are formed into small pellet so it can be re-use partial and/or used it all as raw material.

In the finish good stage, consumers can execute a crushing or grinding process, and then re-produce it into something else of plastic form. For example they can use it as a compound of bottle manufacturing.

Preserve a Heritage Culture

There are many weaving artisans around Indonesia that specialize in beautiful rattan weaving technique. Traditional society has passed down a tangible culture in architecture. PT. Polymindo Permata aims to promote and preserve traditional aesthetics and architectures through our improvement in material science and technology.

Bali has an authentic traditional Balinese thatch roofing style. We adopt it into our Virothatch roofing system, named Hip Berawa, which spills over the Broom/Eave of the thatch roofing. On other product, we adopt African roofing style in our reed roof, Viroreed. Then traditional building from Bena - Flores, Indonesia, named Ngadu, is adjusted in design to our outdoor umbrella product, Viroumbrella.

PT. Polymindo Permata works with artisans in some areas in Java, Indonesia, and continuously develops new modified pattern of wicker. It has been over 40 patterns, such as Terasiring, Brava, Casa, Wimala, Terakota, and Parang Rusak. All of our wickers are made by hand of our artisans, hence, our products have an extra added value besides its material technology, and it is unique.
